Bakery Co-op Student

Dawn Foods is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Bakery Co-op Student to join our team. As a Bakery Co-op Student, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the dynamic world of the Global Bakery Industry.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the technical team in the kitchen, gaining valuable knowledge and skills in baking principles and techniques.
- Shadow and learn from seasoned Technical Sales & Service Representatives in real-world bakery settings.
- Measure and combine ingredients, safely using mixers, blenders, heat sources, and other equipment to make baked goods.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and equipment.
- Adhere to food safety standards and procedures.
- Engage and interact with other teams to continuously improve knowledge of the industry and region.
- Organize raw materials and finished products, and stand displays when required.
- Perform other tasks and assignments as needed.
- Possess a passion for baking with basic knowledge of relevant concepts, principles, and tools.
- Be participating in a Baking Program or Diploma.
- Exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Be accurate and a reliable team player with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Display eagerness to learn and take on new challenges.
- Be adaptable and willing to embrace feedback and learn from experiences.

- Position requires constant and continuous support of production and other departments with time spent both in an office environment and an Industrial Kitchen environment.
- Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to grasp, move, or utilize objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
- Frequently required to bake or fry in the kitchen lab.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
This role offers a competitive hourly rate of $24 with eligibility for overtime pay. As a Bakery Co-op Student, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable knowledge and skills in the Global Bakery Industry, and be part of a dynamic and supportive team.
