Position Overview:

The Client Relationship Manager acts as the primary connection between the hospital, the community, and referral agencies. This role is essential in generating interest in the hospital's services through the ethical application of marketing strategies and sales techniques.

Collaborating closely with the Director of Business Development and the Business Development Team, the Client Relationship Manager is responsible for presenting a positive and professional image of the hospital within the community.

The Client Relationship Manager is tasked with executing the hospital's strategic sales initiatives, enhancing the brand/image of the facility, effectively managing their designated territory and accounts, and striving to meet departmental and organizational business development objectives. This role requires the ability to demonstrate tact, resourcefulness, patience, and commitment in a dynamic environment.

Working hours will vary based on departmental and organizational needs, which may include daytime, evening, and weekend shifts as directed by the Director of Business Development.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Serve as the liaison between the hospital and referral sources, implementing service-oriented action plans tailored to referral source needs, acting as a resource and representative to the community, and conducting facility tours for key stakeholders. Assess, develop, and implement sales strategies to maximize market penetration among assigned accounts and identify potential accounts in targeted market segments. Create and communicate effective sales messaging for each program offered and each target audience. Monitor referral inquiries and admissions statistics daily, conducting ongoing analyses to ensure the appropriateness and effectiveness of weekly sales action plans.
Develop and maintain a strategic sales plan for existing and potential referral sources within the assigned territory and target markets. Build and sustain positive and productive relationships with existing referral sources while identifying additional opportunities.
Keep detailed documentation of assigned top accounts, key contacts, planning reports, client profiles, competitive profiles, and updates as required by the Director of Business Development. Ensure timely completion of all required reports and information requests.
Stay informed about industry trends and anticipate changes in the target market, utilizing this information to develop and adjust weekly sales action plans and provide recommendations for overall business development strategies.
Maintain up-to-date information in relevant databases, including documentation of daily contacts and accurate account details. The Client Relationship Manager will demonstrate proficiency in using proprietary reports to effectively plan sales activities.
Facilitate positive, timely, and accurate communication. Foster cooperation and employ problem-solving skills to build and maintain relationships among the hospital, referral sources, patients, their families, and the community.
Actively participate in Business Development team meetings, providing relevant marketing reports, updates, and service recovery opportunities to the Director of Business Development promptly. Participate in off-hours sales and community activities as required by the Director of Business Development and organizational needs.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree required; Master's preferred. 3-5 years of relevant work experience required; 5-8 years preferred. Proven business development skills and sales capabilities. Knowledge of marketing and sales principles. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in data collection, analysis, and interpretation. Competent in computer usage and Microsoft Office Suite.

Required Travel:
80-90% Local
