We are seeking a highly qualified candidate for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in policy and sustainability at the University of British Columbia. The successful applicant will have a strong research background in land and/or forest resources policy and a commitment to teaching and mentoring students.
Research FocusThe successful candidate will be expected to develop an innovative research program in policy and sustainability, with a focus on land and/or forest resources. This may include areas such as food policy, climate justice, green economy, and biobased products.
Teaching ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in their discipline, as well as supervising graduate students and postdoctoral fellows. They will also be expected to participate in service to the department, university, and academic community.
QualificationsCandidates must have earned a PhD degree in social or natural sciences by the time of appointment or shortly thereafter. A strong record of research achievement and a commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion are essential.
