WORKING HOURS: 35 hours per week

WORKING MODEL: Hybrid - Onsite reporting as required.

SALARY GRADE: 11

SALARY RANGE: Starting at $87,514.00 annually

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting to the Manager of Corporate Asset Management, the incumbent will spearhead the implementation and continuous oversight of a comprehensive asset management strategy across various operational sectors. This role involves regular engagement with departmental leaders to assess ongoing operational and capital requirements while delivering exemplary leadership, customer service, and strategic insights.

The advisor will provide informed recommendations regarding the prioritization of infrastructure replacement needs, taking into account available financial resources and new funding opportunities. Collaboration with senior partners from various departments is essential to address evolving business needs through analytical recommendations and enhancements to corporate performance.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Development and implementation of asset management policies and strategies.
  • Leadership in creating and managing departmental asset management plans.
  • Facilitation of training sessions for staff to enhance understanding of asset management principles.
  • Proactive strategic advice on critical issues and risk mitigation.
  • Management of Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and related contract documentation.
  • Continuous review and reporting on project progress to stakeholders.

SELECTION CRITERIA:

  • A university degree in Engineering, Planning, Policy, or a related field is required.
  • A Master's degree in Business or a related discipline is advantageous.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in asset and portfolio management.
  • Strong knowledge of asset management principles within a municipal context.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a dynamic environment.
