Position Summary
Under the general oversight of the Health Services Manager, the Clinical Nurse (RN) is tasked with delivering professional nursing services to patients, including those with intricate and unpredictable health conditions.

The responsibilities encompass:
- Independent nursing services
- Administration of prescribed medical treatments
- Leadership within the healthcare team
- Coordination of patient care and discharge processes

Demonstrates a commitment to the vision, values, goals, and objectives of the organization.

Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing education program is essential.
- Successful completion of the WCCNEP Program or an equivalent ICU training program is required.
- Current BLS Health Care Provider certification is mandatory.
- Adherence to the scope of practice as outlined in the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA).
- Familiarity with regional/facility/unit policies, procedures, protocols, and guidelines.
- Knowledge of nursing care relevant to the clinical area.

- Understanding of the Personal Health Information Act (PHIA), Protection of Persons in Care Act, Mental Health Act, Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS), and Principles of Routine Practices (Universal Precautions) along with other applicable legislation.

Team Collaboration
- Awareness of the roles and responsibilities of healthcare team members.
- Preference will be given to candidates proficient in an Indigenous language and/or possessing knowledge of Indigenous customs, traditions, and values.

Skills
- Ability to prioritize care for individual patients or groups.
- Capacity to work independently and collaboratively within the healthcare team.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including Windows, word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.

This role necessitates a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check, and Adult Abuse Registry Check as prerequisites for employment.
