Job Summary:

PDI is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Warehouse Operations Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our warehouse operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our warehouse.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare shipping documents and ensure accurate and timely processing of shipments.
  • Enter shipping information into our Warehouse Management System to maintain accurate inventory levels and track shipments.
  • Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule, including loading, packing, wrapping, labeling, and shipping.
  • Schedule pickup and delivery of inbound and outbound freight to ensure timely and efficient movement of goods.
  • Maintain accurate inventory controls and update spreadsheets and reports on a routine basis to ensure compliance with company procedures.
  • Report any discrepancies or issues to management and take corrective action as necessary.
  • Communicate and cooperate with team members to ensure seamless operation of the warehouse.
  • Operate warehouse vehicles and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Sort and place materials on shelves or in warehouse locations as required to maintain a safe and organized work environment.
  • Follow quality service standards and comply with company procedures, rules, and regulations to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries and resolve issues or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment and wear all required safety equipment.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in freight handling and logistics operations.
  • Forklift license required.
  • Previous customer service experience in a warehousing, logistics, or transportation industry.
  • High attention to detail and excellent numeracy skills.
  • Superior communication skills and ability to manage competing priorities and adhere to strict deadlines.
  • Experience with online inventory management systems.
  • Dedicated to customer service and committed to providing exceptional service to internal and external customers.
  • Working knowledge of the rules and regulations involved in the safe and efficient operation of rail and yard equipment.
  • Ability to cross-train in other departments, such as wash bay and packaging.
  • Ability to certify in Fall Arrest, First Aid/CPR, GHS, TGD, Emergency Response, etc.
  • Ability to work at heights per company procedure.
  • Ability to lift 40-60 lbs.
