We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Aide to join our Home Living team. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering personalized support services to clients of all ages and backgrounds residing in various community settings.
Your Responsibilities:- Provide essential personal care assistance to clients, encompassing activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a sense of well-being and connection.
- Collaborate closely with clients, families, and the multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care plans are implemented effectively.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client care, progress, and any observations relevant to their health and well-being.
- Adhere to established safety protocols and best practices in delivering care within clients' homes.
- Active directory status on the Alberta Health Care Aide Directory.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support- Healthcare Provider (BCLS HCP) certification.
- Demonstrated communication and assessment skills, enabling effective interaction with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently in diverse home environments.
- Previous experience in the healthcare field, particularly with older adults or individuals requiring chronic care.
- A Medication Assistance Certificate or relevant experience in medication administration.
