Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and communicative individual to join our team as a Tax Compliance Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for collecting outstanding taxes, levies, and orders, while also educating taxpayers on their filing requirements and making arrangements for tax returns and payments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect and process tax returns and payments from individuals and corporations
  • Communicate with taxpayers to resolve outstanding tax issues and make arrangements for payment
  • Assess financial situations of corporations and individuals to identify sources of funds for collection
  • Provide recommendations to improve policy, procedures, and legislation to streamline the collection and enforcement process

Requirements

  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to negotiate and resolve conflicts
  • Knowledge of Employment Standards Code and Regulation, Federal and Provincial Corporate and Commodity Tax legislation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
