Collections Specialist

GFL Environmental is seeking a skilled Collections Administrator to join our team in Edmonton. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of accounts receivable and ensuring timely collections.
Key Responsibilities:- Identify and escalate high-priority accounts to ensure timely collections of current billed invoices.
- Maintain accurate customer information, including terms, billing requirements, and other relevant details.
- Contribute to month-end consolidation and completeness of departmental tasks.
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Support reporting and processing, including customer credit card transactions.
- Participate in various projects to support the AR and Accounting teams.
- Make outgoing calls to customers, with a focus on effective communication and resolution.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and management directives.
- Basic accounting knowledge and computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work well under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
