Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team at Prince Rupert Regional Hospital. As an Emergency Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency department environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients in accordance with hospital policies and standards of practice.
  • Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure exceptional patient experience.
Requirements
  • Current registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant.
  • Post-graduate certification in Emergency Nursing or Critical Care Nursing, or a minimum of one year's recent related experience in an Emergency or ICU setting.
  • Current certification in CPR - Basic Rescuer level required. Current ACLS certification preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and provide work direction to nursing and non-professional nursing staff.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
