The Opportunity:
The Reinvestment Area Construction Manager will be responsible for overseeing the execution of construction projects related to reinvestment across Eastern Canada (Ontario or Atlantic). This encompasses various types of reinvestment initiatives, including standard interior renovations, expansions, and compliance updates.

Job Responsibilities: In addition to adhering to company policies and procedures, key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Fostering and promoting positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including franchisees, corporate personnel, general contractors, architects, vendors, and municipal authorities.
  • Monitoring and controlling the reinvestment project management process by coordinating the efforts of various parties (Owner/Operators, McOpCo, Contractors, and external Consultants).
  • Ensuring adherence to quality control standards for reinvestment projects, focusing on cost, timelines, and compliance with specifications.
  • Managing and tracking project budgets, schedules, construction progress, and project closure.
  • Developing project scopes, estimates, tenders, and awarding contracts.
  • Creating purchase orders and change orders.
  • Managing change orders, addressing deficiencies, and overseeing project closure.
  • Providing regular project reports and updates to management.
  • Conducting site visits as required for projects within Canada.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Proven experience in construction project management, with experience in the Quick-Service-Restaurant (QSR) sector considered an asset.
  • Collaborative and Communication Skills: Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to build strong partnerships with management, staff, and external partners.
  • Project Management Experience: Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to make critical decisions that drive project success.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Smartsheet, Excel, and SharePoint/OneDrive.
  • Agility: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changing priorities, and willingness to travel within Canada up to 30% of the year.
