Environmental Engineer Job Description

About the Role:

Agilus Work Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Environmental Engineer to join our team in Regina, Saskatchewan. As an Environmental Engineer, you will be responsible for directing, coordinating, and carrying out environmental programs and activities to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and permitting requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and coordinate environmental programs and activities to ensure compliance with regulations and permitting requirements.
  • Ensure all environmental reporting is performed as required by regulatory agencies.
  • Provide environmental support and perform reporting requirements during upset conditions.
  • Assist in the development of applications for new and/or renewal permits to operate.
  • Manage contractors providing services for remediation and solid waste management programs.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of environmental technologies and recommend appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of safety programs for staff.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Applied Science in Environmental Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of related experience.
  • Membership in the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS) as a Professional Engineer.
