About the Role

B I R HOMES is seeking a skilled Electrical Installation Specialist to join our team. As an Electrical Installation Specialist, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining electrical systems in residential and commercial structures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install electrical controls and panel boxes to ensure safe and efficient electrical distribution.
  • Replace and repair electrical controls and panel boxes to maintain optimal system performance.
  • Install underground wiring and cables to meet the electrical needs of our clients.
  • Splice, join and connect wires to ensure secure and reliable electrical connections.
  • Test and measure voltage, loads, ground faults integrity of circuits to identify and resolve electrical issues.
  • Troubleshoot and isolate faults to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.
  • Connect power to audio and visual equipment to meet the electrical needs of our clients.
  • Install surface mount and/or overhead cables to meet the electrical needs of our clients.
  • Ground and bond electrical equipment, systems and structures to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
  • Renovate electrical systems in residential and commercial structures to meet the electrical needs of our clients.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance programs to ensure optimal system performance and extend the lifespan of electrical equipment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications to ensure accurate electrical installations and repairs.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Physically demanding work environment requiring regular lifting, bending, and standing.
  • Attention to detail is essential to ensure accurate electrical installations and repairs.
Requirements
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in electrical installation and maintenance.
  • Permanent employment opportunity.
  • English language proficiency.
  • 35 to 40 hours per week of work.
