Job Summary

B I R HOMES is seeking a skilled Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team. As an Electrical Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in residential and commercial structures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install electrical controls and panel boxes to ensure safe and efficient electrical distribution.
  • Replace and repair electrical controls and panel boxes to maintain optimal system performance.
  • Install underground wiring and cables to meet the electrical needs of our clients.
  • Splice, join, and connect wires to ensure secure and reliable electrical connections.
  • Test and measure voltage, loads, ground faults, and integrity of circuits to identify and resolve electrical issues.
  • Troubleshoot and isolate faults to minimize downtime and ensure prompt resolution.
  • Connect power to audio and visual equipment to meet the electrical needs of our clients.
  • Install surface mount and/or overhead cables to meet the electrical needs of our clients.
  • Ground and bond electrical equipment, systems, and structures to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
  • Renovate electrical systems to meet the changing needs of our clients.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance programs to ensure optimal system performance and extend the lifespan of electrical equipment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate and efficient electrical installations.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • Physically demanding work environment requiring regular lifting, bending, and standing.
  • Attention to detail is essential to ensure accurate and efficient electrical installations.
  • Work Term: Permanent with a regular 35-40 hour workweek.
  • Work Language: English is the primary language used in the workplace.
