About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Installation Specialist to join our team at Square Mile Development Inc. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for installing drywall sheets, taping joints, and applying successive coats of compound to ensure a smooth finish.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Finishing
    • Measure, cut, and install drywall sheets to meet project specifications
    • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound
    • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints to achieve a smooth finish
  • Surface Preparation
    • Clean and prepare surfaces for drywall installation
    • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners
  • Project Support
    • Assist in the fabrication and installation of suspended metal ceiling grids and panels
    • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife
Work Environment and Physical Demands

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment, with frequent bending, crouching, and kneeling. You will also be required to handle heavy loads and work in physically demanding conditions.
