Brandt is currently on the lookout for a Regional Operations Manager to oversee the Coastal British Columbia region, with a base in Surrey.

Reporting directly to the VP of Operations - BC, the ideal candidate will possess a strong drive and extensive management experience. The Regional Operations Manager will be tasked with driving sales growth and ensuring profitability across the Surrey, Nanaimo, and Campbell River branches. Key responsibilities include asset management, market share enhancement, employee development, and overseeing account receivables within the division.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Formulating, executing, and meeting annual budgets for the branches under your purview.
  • Driving sales growth and profitability across all divisions, including whole goods, parts, and service departments.
  • Meeting asset management objectives, including inventory turnover and aging, while safeguarding company assets and maintaining an optimal inventory mix.
  • Leading and developing all personnel within the division to cultivate a motivated and successful workforce focused on long-term success.
  • Setting performance targets for managers and assessing their effectiveness using KPIs provided by the company.
  • Achieving agreed-upon market share targets for the sustained success of both the manufacturer and the company.
  • Providing valuable market insights and feedback regarding future opportunities and competitive challenges.
  • Managing division account receivables in collaboration with the Director of Credit Services.
  • Maintaining a consistent presence at assigned branches to provide essential leadership and oversight.
  • Collaborating with suppliers.
  • Coordinating and participating in various events, including customer fly-ins, open houses, and industry gatherings.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • A professional and resourceful approach; capable of working independently and collaboratively, leading by example, taking initiative, and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Adaptable leadership style; a leader who can positively influence both strategic and tactical initiatives while demonstrating strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with a keen attention to detail and a consistent focus on fostering good customer relations.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid passport, as travel is necessary.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in the heavy equipment sector, including at least 5 years in management or business operations.
  • A degree or diploma with a business focus is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Prior experience in sales and product support.
  • Strong financial acumen, including cost management, business planning, and goal-setting experience.
