Position Summary:

We are looking for a skilled HR Operations Specialist who is collaborative and can effectively support the HR strategies of the organization while fostering a positive workplace culture. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive experience across key HR functions, including talent acquisition, employee relations, health and safety, performance management, and benefits administration. This role primarily operates remotely, with occasional in-office requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily operations related to talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, health and safety, and benefits.
  • Facilitate employee engagement initiatives such as corporate communications, town hall meetings, corporate events, and employee feedback surveys.
  • Provide recommendations for enhancements to ensure compliance with legislative requirements for our international workforce.
  • Maintain and securely store employee records, ensuring they are up-to-date and confidential.
  • Oversee the employee performance evaluation process, providing support and coaching to managers and staff.
  • Advise on employee relations issues, including incidents, investigations, and health and safety matters.
  • Lead the end-to-end recruitment process.
  • Manage all administrative tasks related to onboarding and offboarding, including data management and compliance auditing.
  • Administer global benefits programs.
  • This role includes supervision of one direct report.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • A minimum of five years of relevant experience in a similar capacity.
  • CHRP (Certified Human Resources Professional) designation is advantageous.
  • HR Diploma or Degree from an accredited institution or equivalent professional experience.
  • Strong understanding of Ontario employment and health and safety laws, with the ability to interpret HR legislation applicable in other regions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated business acumen, problem-solving abilities, negotiation skills, and organizational capabilities.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and HRIS systems.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to accommodate different global time zones.
  • Self-motivated with effective time management skills.
