Key Responsibilities- Lead and develop a team of underwriters to achieve performance goals and exceed service level agreements
- Manage mortgage loan operation volume and compliance for insured and conventional mortgages
- Collaborate with teams to provide excellent customer service, fair adjudication, and strong communication
- Identify and implement internal refinance strategies and programs to increase the annual amount of refinanced funds
- Underwrite, price, and set terms and conditions for conventional and high-ratio, Alt-A caliber, and A caliber residential mortgage applications
- Provide formal and informal coaching/mentorship to team members and develop their sales, service, and underwriting skills
- Diploma in business or equivalent experience
- Minimum 7 years of financial experience, including 3 years of leadership experience in the financial services industry and 2 years of residential mortgage underwriting experience
- Experience with a variety of mortgage products, including conventional mortgages, high-ratio insured mortgages, and HELOC products
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop employees in a positive and highly effective team environment
- Solid understanding of CWBFG lending protocols and required operational procedures
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal
