Responsibilities
As a Sales Application Engineer (SAE), your primary responsibilities will include designing and preparing bid documents and proposals (performance data, drawings, component selections, construction details) and creating submittals for Custom Air Handling Units and DX Systems. You will serve as the main point of contact for clients and sales representatives, coordinating and managing projects throughout the production process.
Your daily tasks will encompass, but are not limited to, the following:
- Design and prepare technical documentation, including dimensional drawings
- Create proposals and associated bid documents
- Develop submittals once projects are awarded
- Obtain submittal approvals and implement necessary revisions
- Ensure all documentation is organized prior to job release for production
- Build relationships with customers and sales representatives, assisting them in developing optimal solutions for their needs
- Provide training to sales representatives on products and design tools
- Contribute to the development of sales tools
- Assist in enhancing technical data as part of the team
- Collaborate closely with other departments to develop standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Organize customer factory visits and coordinate witness testing with other departments
- Support the sales team by preparing documents and technical presentations
Candidate Profile

We are seeking an exceptional individual with the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical or building engineering or related fields
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in systems design or HVAC equipment sales
- Proactive team player with a strong sense of responsibility, capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to apply and maintain administrative processes to enhance overall company effectiveness
- Strong problem-solving skills and initiative, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of AutoCAD is an asset
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Willingness to travel occasionally across North America
