Nursing Care Specialist Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our team at RhynoCare Healthcare. This role will involve providing exceptional nursing care in various long term and acute care facilities in the Milton area.

Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver high-quality nursing care to residents in accordance with established policies, physician's orders, and the resident plan of care.
  2. Utilize sound nursing practice principles to ensure the delivery of excellent nursing and personal care in the assigned home area(s).
  3. Ensure timely and accessible admissions for residents, including comprehensive orientation to the home and the services offered within the home.
  4. Manage resident transfers and discharges, ensuring they are timely and safe.
  5. Ensure the safekeeping and control of drugs and narcotics, adhering to protocols on all assigned shifts.
  6. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to meet the physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and social needs of residents.

Requirements:

  1. Active registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  2. Able to work with persons with infectious diseases.
  3. BLS Certificate.
  4. Valid First Aid & CPR.
  5. Proof of current immunizations for MMRV and negative TB skin test within one year, as well as Hepatitis B.
  6. Current Vulnerable Sector Police Check.
  7. Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  8. Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
  9. Flexibility to work eight or twelve hours in length, and to 'float' from unit to unit within a hospital as needed.
