Job Summary:
First Nations University of Canada is seeking qualified individuals to teach Indigenous languages, including Cree, Nakoda, Dakota, Dene, and Saulteaux. As a language instructor, you will play a vital role in preserving and promoting the cultural heritage of First Nations communities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Indigenous languages to students of various skill levels
- Develop and implement curriculum that aligns with the university's language program
- Assess student progress and provide feedback
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a supportive learning environment
Requirements:
- Master's degree in a relevant field, such as linguistics, education, or Indigenous studies
- Teaching experience, preferably in an Indigenous language program
- Professional experience working with Indigenous communities
