Indigenous Community Engagement Opportunity

CIBC is committed to building strong relationships with Indigenous communities and is seeking a skilled professional to join our team as an Indigenous Community Liaison.

The successful candidate will work closely with our Indigenous partners to develop and implement community engagement strategies that promote economic growth, social development, and cultural preservation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with Indigenous communities, organizations, and leaders
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify business opportunities and develop engagement strategies
  • Provide cultural awareness training and education to CIBC employees
  • Support the development of Indigenous-focused business initiatives and partnerships

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of Indigenous cultures, histories, and community needs
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g. Indigenous studies, business, social work)
