Job Summary:

First Nations University of Canada is seeking qualified individuals to teach Indigenous languages, including Cree, Nakoda, Dakota, Dene, and Saulteaux. As a language instructor, you will play a vital role in preserving and promoting the cultural heritage of First Nations communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Indigenous languages to students of all levels
  • Develop and implement curriculum that meets the needs of First Nations students
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback
  • Collaborate with other instructors and staff to promote a culturally inclusive learning environment

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in a relevant field, such as linguistics, education, or Indigenous studies
  • Teaching experience, preferably in an Indigenous language program
  • Professional experience working with Indigenous communities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
