Compensation and Total Rewards Expert

We're seeking a highly skilled Compensation and Total Rewards Expert to join our team at Maple Leaf Foods. As a key member of our HR team, you'll play a critical role in creating and implementing executive and employee compensation strategies that drive business results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and administer annual executive compensation programs, including long-term equity incentive plans, to align with our company's goals and objectives.
  • Prepare compensation data reporting for proxy disclosures and senior leaders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of compensation and recognition program design, practices, and industry trends to stay ahead of the curve.
  • Roll out compensation and recognition plans and programs with precision, covering pay policy formulation to incentive plan execution, to drive engagement and retention.
  • Empower leaders, HR partners, and team members through compensation education and training, fostering a culture of transparency and fairness.
  • Provide analytical support and counsel on compensation-related events, including hiring, promotions, and transfers, to inform strategic decisions.
  • Partner with HR, Payroll, Finance, and IS to administer and maintain accurate compensation data, ensuring seamless integration with our HR systems.
  • Oversee and audit the execution of compensation and recognition programs according to company policies and statutory compliance, ensuring a high level of integrity and accountability.
  • Develop and track key performance indicators for the compensation and total rewards arena, measuring the effectiveness of our programs and identifying areas for improvement.
Requirements:
  • Masterful command of compensation practices, encompassing executive and employee compensation program design, implementation, and administration, with a focus on innovation and best practices.
  • In-depth knowledge of local regulations and compliance requirements governing the compensation landscape, ensuring our programs are compliant and up-to-date.
  • Superior analytical skills and ability to analyze statistical and financial data, driving informed decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Adept at managing multiple projects with finesse, prioritizing tasks and deadlines to meet business objectives.
  • Guardian of information integrity, committed to handling data with utmost accuracy, security, and confidentiality, upholding our company's values and standards.
  • Bias for continuous improvement, harnessing the power of data and technology to drive superior outcomes and enhance our compensation programs.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field, with advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Familiarity with SAP / Success Factors is an asset, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and systems.
