About the Job:

As a valued member of our team, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents in a long-term care setting. Working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team, you will ensure that each resident's physical, emotional, and social needs are met, promoting maximum independence and dignity.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with personal care and activities of daily living, ensuring the highest level of comfort and dignity for our residents.
  • Support residents with mobility, transfers, and related equipment, promoting safe and efficient care.
  • Perform nursing procedures, such as taking vital signs, under the guidance of our registered nurses and licensed practical nurses.
  • Contribute to maintaining a safe and healthy environment through housekeeping activities and adhering to infection control protocols.
  • Observe and report changes in resident behavior and condition, ensuring timely interventions and support.
  • Accompany residents on outings and during social activities, fostering a sense of community and connection.
  • Perform clerical duties and delegated tasks, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

About this Opportunity:

This is a casual opportunity, offering flexibility and variety in your work schedule. As a casual employee, you will have the opportunity to work a range of shifts, including days, evenings, and nights, with no guaranteed hours but the potential for up to 37.5 hours per week.

About this Location/Unit:

Jackson House is a state-of-the-art long-term care facility located in the beautiful surroundings of Ashcroft, BC. Our facility embodies a client-centred philosophy, designed to support residents' choices and promote their highest level of functioning and quality of life.


Located adjacent to the Ashcroft Hospital and Community Health Centre, our facility offers a range of services in one location, including emergency department, community services, and medical offices. Our modern facility features 25 publicly subsidized beds, with most rooms offering single occupancy and some convertible to double occupancy if required.


We take pride in our commitment to providing a safe and supportive environment, with features such as magnetically locked doors, intrusion alarms, full fire sprinklers, and monitored fire alarms. Our individual nurse call system and Vocera paging system ensure seamless communication and care coordination.
