Long Term Care Assistant

As a Long-term Care Attendant, you will be an integral part of a dynamic team providing care and support in a long-term care setting. Working under the direction of RNs and LPNs, you will have key responsibilities in the individual care plan for each patient, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are supported while promoting maximum independence.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist with personal care and activities of daily living
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and related equipment
- Perform nursing procedures such as taking temperature, pulse, and respiration
- Contribute to maintaining a safe and healthy environment through housekeeping activities
- Observe and report changes in patient behavior and condition
- Accompany clients on outings and during social activities
- Perform clerical duties and delegated tasks
This is a casual opportunity, which means there are no guaranteed hours, and work requirements may vary from zero to 37.5 hours per week. We are particularly seeking candidates with good availability for short call work and open to working night shifts as well as days and evenings.

About the Location:Jackson House is located in the beautiful surroundings of Ashcroft, BC. This facility embodies a client-centred philosophy designed to support residents' choices, help people function at their highest level, and provide the best quality of life possible.
Attached to the Ashcroft Hospital and Community Health Centre, the building also houses the ER department, community services, and medical offices.
This facility is a two-storey building with a penthouse, has 25 publicly subsidized beds, and offers a variety of services in one location.
