Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Trade Compliance Attorney to join our team at Lenovo. As a key member of our global trade compliance organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the company's compliance with all relevant trade laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice on trade compliance matters, including US export controls, imports/customs, sanctions, and compliance program development.
  • Develop and implement process enhancements that embed new regulatory requirements into business operations.
  • Design and advise on enhancements for trade compliance policies, operating procedures, and technology control plans.
  • Partner with leaders within legal, engineering, and supply chain on large-scale, complex supply chain initiatives.
  • Advise on trade compliance training for a variety of audiences involving classification of technology, software, and/or source code.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in advising multinational businesses on trade compliance matters.
  • Subject matter expertise with non-US export and import regulatory regimes.
  • Experience in government relations and trade strategy deployment.
  • Ability to clearly articulate and visually present complex legal advice for senior executives; excellent written work product (compliance policies, procedures, training).
