The Role: IT Support Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated IT Support Specialist to join our team. Reporting to the Lead of the Service Desk, you will be responsible for providing first-line technical support to our employees across various business units.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Manage service requests from both business and manufacturing facilities.
  • Offer Tier 1 support for Tolko standard applications and End User Computing standards.
  • Receive, prioritize, document, and actively resolve end-user requests.
  • Escalate incidents when necessary to ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements.

What We're Looking For:

  • A college diploma or university degree in computer science or equivalent experience in a customer service-focused IT role.
  • Experience with service desk ticketing systems.
  • Knowledge of desktop and server operating systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, with a focus on building rapport, listening, and questioning.
  • Understanding of basic computer hardware, including desktops, servers, storage, mobile devices, and network devices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and related applications (Office, Teams, OneDrive).
  • Familiarity with the fundamental principles of ITIL is an advantage.
