Your Opportunity:

The Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre Redevelopment and Expansion is a complex project that involves the concurrent design and construction of a new tower within the existing hospital site, alongside the development of a new Ambulatory Care Building. The project aims to enhance and increase healthcare services for the citizens of central Alberta.

The Clinical Planner plays a key role within the project management office team, working closely with clinical teams and senior leaders to define project needs and priorities. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of Alberta Health Services' structure and the ability to create a bridge between operational planning and facility planning and development.

The Clinical Planner is responsible for providing direction and organization over planning activities for specified areas within the project. This includes leading working group activities, collaborating with key project leadership, and liaising with community stakeholders to develop detailed design and operational plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic and operational planning for healthcare programs and services
  • Lead working group activities and collaborate with clinical teams and senior leaders
  • Develop detailed design and operational plans with community stakeholders
  • Manage impacts to zone/RDRHC programs and services with the redevelopment
  • Work closely with clinical teams in all stages of the project

Requirements:

  • 10 years' experience working in a complex healthcare environment
  • Greater than 3 years in a leadership role
  • Experience in design and operational planning with healthcare programs and services
  • Master's degree in a healthcare discipline or related field
  • Licensed healthcare professional

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Pro
  • Experience and certification in quality improvement, change management, and operational planning and budgeting
