Job Title: Clinical Planner

Alberta Health Services (AHS) is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Planner to join our team in the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre (RDRHC) Redevelopment Project Management Office (PMO).

About the Role:

The Clinical Planner will play a key role in the RDRHC Redevelopment Project, working closely with clinical teams, senior leaders, and stakeholders to develop detailed design and operational plans for the new tower and Ambulatory Care Building. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of AHS structure and the ability to create a bridge between operational planning and facility planning and development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead various working group activities with clinical teams and senior leaders to define project needs and priorities.
  • Collaborate with key project leadership and liaise with community stakeholders to develop detailed design and operational plans.
  • Work closely with clinical teams in all stages of the project, including functional programming, design, construction, operational planning, and readiness.
  • Build strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, including staff, physicians, volunteers, students, patients, families, visitors, and executive leadership within AHS.
Requirements:
  • Experience working in large complex matrix organizations with multi-location teams and/or multi-vendor teams.
  • Strong facilitation, communication, and coordination experience in project planning, execution, reporting, monitoring, and evaluation.
  • Ability to manage change and create innovative solutions on complex issues.
  • Excellent analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Proven experience in the identification, management, and mitigation of project risks.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, MS Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Pro.
  • Experience and certification in quality improvement, change management, business case development, and operational planning and budgeting.
