Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Installer to join our team at Velocity Enterprises Inc. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for installing drywall sheets, applying and finishing plaster, and ensuring a high-quality finish on our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install drywall sheets, ensuring accurate measurements and secure fastening to metal or wooden studs or joists.
  • Apply, level, and smooth coats of plaster to create a smooth finish.
  • Clean and prepare surfaces for drywall installation, including filling joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound.
  • Finish corners and angles, and create decorative designs in the finish coat, as required.
  • Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets, ensuring a precise fit and secure installation.
  • Mix plaster ingredients to the desired consistency, ensuring a smooth and even application.
  • Mould and install ornamental plaster panels, cornices, and trim, adding a touch of elegance to our projects.
  • Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists, ensuring a sturdy and secure installation.
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow the coat to dry, ensuring a smooth finish.
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound, creating a seamless finish.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience in drywall installation and plastering is an asset.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor for extended periods.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work accurately.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
