G Star Homes Inc. is seeking a skilled Drywall Installation Specialist to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints to ensure a smooth finish.
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners and maintain a professional appearance.
  • Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings.
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife.
  • Measure, cut, fit and install drywall sheets to meet project requirements.
  • Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists to ensure stability and safety.
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry to achieve a high-quality finish.
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound to create a seamless bond.
  • Estimate costs and materials to ensure accurate project planning and execution.
  • Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages to complete tasks safely and efficiently.
  • Erect and install scaffolding, falsework and other working platforms to facilitate project progress.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications to understand project requirements.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
  • Bending, crouching, kneeling to navigate work areas and complete tasks.
  • Handling heavy loads to move materials and equipment.
  • Large workload to meet project deadlines and deliver high-quality results.
  • Manual dexterity to handle tools and materials with precision.
  • Physically demanding tasks to ensure project completion and safety.
  • Repetitive tasks to maintain a high level of quality and efficiency.
  • Standing for extended periods to complete tasks and meet project requirements.
  • Tight deadlines to deliver high-quality results and meet project expectations.
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in drywall installation.
  • Permanent employment with a reputable company.
  • English as the primary language of communication.
  • 30 to 40 hours per week to ensure project completion and quality control.
