G Star Homes Inc. is seeking a skilled Drywall Installation Specialist to join our team. As a Drywall Installation Specialist, you will be responsible for installing drywall sheets, taping joints, and applying successive coats of compound to create smooth surfaces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation: Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets to create smooth surfaces.
  • Taping and Finishing: Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound to create a seamless finish.
  • Compound Application: Apply successive coats of compound to fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks.
  • Estimation and Planning: Estimate costs and materials required for each project.
  • Worksite Preparation: Erect and install scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms to ensure safe working conditions.
  • Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to understand project requirements.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work Setting: Commercial and residential construction sites.
  • Physical Demands: Bending, crouching, kneeling, handling heavy loads, standing for extended periods, and working at heights.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in drywall installation.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
