Position: Community Health Nurse
Employment Type: Term Until December 12, 2024
Work Schedule: Part-Time – 18.75 hours per week
Location: Lillooet/Lytton – Health Centre

Role Overview
In the capacity of Community Health Nurse, your responsibilities will include providing a wide array of essential nursing services in remote First Nations communities, focusing on community and public health, primary care, as well as urgent and emergent care. Key duties encompass:
- Employing nursing expertise and critical analysis to design, execute, and assess health programs and interventions, while adhering to relevant legislation, regulations, and policies.
- Gathering, evaluating, and interpreting data from diverse sources to inform evidence-based decisions regarding nursing services, including program development and prioritization with individuals and communities.
- Leveraging research and evidence to shape health policies and practices, synthesizing nursing knowledge to address population health status, health inequities, and effective health promotion strategies.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited institution or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Current registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Basic Life Support Certification Level C is required.
- Completion of a recognized specialty nursing program is advantageous.
- A valid Class 5 BC Driver's License is necessary.
- At least one (1) year of recent nursing experience in a relevant field.
- Specific experience relevant to the role is required.
