About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Construction Assistant at Dennis Construction Corporation. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting in the daily operations of our warehouse and construction sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from the warehouse and construction sites.
  • Pre-Operational Inspection: Perform pre-operational inspections to ensure equipment is in good working condition.
  • Blueprint Reading: Read blueprints to determine work requirements and ensure accurate completion of tasks.
  • Cleanliness and Organization: Clean and pile salvaged materials, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance work and repair equipment as needed.
  • Debris Removal: Remove rubble and other debris from construction sites.
  • Data Entry: Enter data according to specified format and transfer handwritten data to Excel or Word documents.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Environment: Noisy, dusty, and hot work site environment.
  • Work Setting: Warehouse and construction industry.
  • Computer and Technology Knowledge: MS Excel and internet.
  • Transportation: Valid driver's license and willingness to travel.
  • Physical Capabilities: Manual dexterity, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
  • Weight Handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs).
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, dependable, flexible, reliable, team player, and hardworking.
