About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Systems Technician to join our team at Charlottetown Metal Products. As an Electrical Systems Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install electrical controls and panel boxes to ensure safe and efficient operation of electrical systems.
  • Replace and repair electrical controls and panel boxes to maintain optimal system performance.
  • Keep maintenance reports and documentation up to date to track system performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Splice, join, and connect wires to ensure secure and reliable electrical connections.
  • Test and measure voltage, loads, ground faults, and integrity of circuits to identify potential issues and ensure system safety.
  • Determine appropriate selection of materials and methods for hazardous locations to ensure safe and compliant electrical installations.
  • Troubleshoot and isolate faults to quickly resolve electrical system issues.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate electrical system design and installation.
  • Commission systems and components to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Requirements
  • Electrician Trade Certification is required for this role.
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in electrical systems installation, maintenance, and repair.
  • High voltage equipment experience is an asset.
  • Instrumentation experience is an asset.
  • Programmable logic controller (PLC) experience is an asset.
