We currently have several Lead Financial Strategist positions open. In this capacity, you will be instrumental in steering the financial planning, analysis, and reporting functions within our organization. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and senior management, to deliver valuable insights and recommendations aimed at enhancing our financial performance. Your proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and data analysis will be essential in identifying trends, risks, and opportunities to facilitate informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate the financial operations of the organization through the preparation and review of month-end journal entries, forecasts, and budgets.

• Provide insights on financial outcomes and key business indicators while driving continuous improvement within the finance team.

• Engage in the strategic planning process of the organization and maintain awareness of industry trends, key business drivers, and accounting policies.

• Develop and prepare weekly scorecard reports for management, offering visibility into financial performance and operational metrics through the creation of monthly reporting packages.

• Conduct analyses on revenue trends, prepare month-end variance analyses, and provide commentary against budgets and forecasts, identifying risks and opportunities.

• Collaborate with key business partners and finance leadership teams, communicating significant trends, observations, and business impacts.

• Assist in the development of business cases, financial modeling, and decision-making in support of strategic initiatives.

Qualifications:

• A University degree in a business-related field (preferably Accounting or Finance), along with a professional accounting designation (CPA/CGA/CA/CMA) or MBA.

• 3-5 years of progressive financial experience.

• Strong technical accounting skills, with knowledge of IFRS 15 and other relevant standards.

• Advanced proficiency in Access, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills.

• Comfort and confidence in engaging with senior leadership and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, with a proven track record of engaging with leadership in both business and finance.

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and handle competing priorities under tight timelines.

• Familiarity with Oracle Financial Systems and Hyperion/Essbase is an asset.
