Restaurant Manager Job Description

At Dr Shake healthy fruit shakes, juices and drinks, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Restaurant Manager to join our team. As a Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our food and beverages meet the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Budgeting and Cost Control: Develop and manage budgets to determine the cost of food, ingredients, alcohol, kitchen and cleaning supplies.
  • Operations Evaluation: Evaluate daily operations to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as needed.
  • Menu Planning: Modify food preparation methods and menu prices according to the restaurant budget.
  • Staff Management: Monitor staff performance, plan and organize daily operations, set staff work schedules, and supervise staff.
  • Inventory Management: Organize and maintain inventory to ensure that we have the necessary supplies to meet customer demand.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure that health and safety regulations are followed at all times.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, address customer complaints or concerns, and negotiate with clients for catering or use of facilities.
Requirements:
  • Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Certifications: Safe Food Handling certificate.
  • Computer Skills: Electronic cash register, MS Excel, Point of Sale system, and Spreadsheet.
  • Security and Safety: Criminal record check.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, repetitive tasks, attention to detail, combination of sitting, standing, and walking, and standing for extended periods.
  • Personal Suitability: Dependability, excellent oral communication, flexibility, organized, reliability, team player, and ability to multitask.
