About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Loader Operator to join our Winter Maintenance team at Colas, a leading provider of construction and maintenance services in Canada. As a Loader Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining a variety of heavy equipment, including skid steers and front-end loaders, to ensure the safe and efficient completion of winter maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain heavy equipment, including skid steers and front-end loaders, to perform winter maintenance tasks
  • Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment and complete maintenance records
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment, including fluid level checks and minor repairs
  • Assist in winter operations as needed
  • Work in extreme weather conditions and extended hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Requirements
  • 1-2 years' experience operating heavy equipment, particularly with a loader
  • G License and clean driving abstract
  • Ability to work assigned shifts and extended hours
  • Willingness to work in extreme weather conditions
  • Mechanically inclined
