Position Overview

The LC4ISR Platform Integration Communication Team Lead is responsible for delivering comprehensive services across the Defense Logistics Command Support Program Management (DLCSPM). This role involves coordinating with various sections and interfacing with Army personnel, fleet units, and multiple stakeholders to effectively plan, organize, and budget for system upgrades and installations of new LCSS kits on in-service vehicles.

  • Facilitate and oversee a monthly LPIC meeting to keep clients informed about ongoing projects, including coordination activities, workload updates, key milestones, and significant challenges.
  • Organize and manage a quarterly DLCSPM LPIC meeting with the Director, ensuring a structured agenda is followed.
  • Monitor and report on LPIC tasking workload to the DLCSPM Project Control Officer.
  • Advise on team work allocation to optimize efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain a succession plan for the LPIC team.
  • Collaborate with the DLCSPM information manager to enhance and sustain the LPIC dashboard on SharePoint.
  • Coordinate activities with other client team leaders to ensure alignment.
  • Provide support to LPIC cell members with their tasks as required.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) with a focus on network, software, computer, systems, electrical, or a related engineering discipline.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in developing technical concept documents, system specifications, and proposals in Information Technology or engineering fields.
  • At least 8 years of experience in communications system engineering.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Communications Systems Engineer specifically within Military Command and Control systems.
  • Proven experience in analyzing, designing, and implementing communications systems for military applications.
  • Expertise in integrating communications systems on military platforms, including hardware, software, and network components, as well as cryptographic devices.
  • Ability to assess platform information flows and propose integration solutions that address immediate needs while minimizing future workload.
  • Experience in specifying and testing to military standards, including MIL-STD for various technical areas.
  • Conducting options analysis for communications system integration on both new and existing military platforms.
  • Lifecycle management of communications systems within military contexts.
  • Strong communication skills to convey IT frameworks and strategies to both management and technical teams.
  • Experience in leading multidisciplinary teams in the development of tactical IT systems and strategies.
  • Proven track record in strategic, operational, or tactical planning for projects or systems aligned with corporate objectives.
Additional Information
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Government Secret Level Security Clearance is required.
