About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Team Member to join our team at the TownePlace Suites by Marriott Ottawa Kanata. As a key member of our housekeeping team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and comfort of our guest rooms and public areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Room Preparation: Enter and prepare guest rooms for cleaning, making sure all areas are tidy and ready for guests.
  • Housekeeping Tasks: Make beds, replenish guestroom and bath supplies, and deliver and retrieve items on loan to guests.
  • Rotation Cleaning Duties: Perform rotation cleaning duties, such as steam cleaning carpets and spring cleaning, as required.
  • Guest Service: Attend to guest calls, respond to guest requests and complaints, and ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other housekeeping team members to achieve departmental goals and objectives.

Requirements

  • Physical Demands: Move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance and in excess of 25 pounds with assistance.
  • Ability to Work in a Fast-Paced Environment: Ability to push and pull a loaded housekeeping cart and other work-related equipment over sloping and uneven surfaces.
  • Communication Skills: Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
  • Availability: Must be available to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays as required.
