Human Resources Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Specialist to join our team at Conseil Cri de la santé et des services sociaux de la Baie James. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for designing, analyzing, assessing, and applying professional techniques in the field of human resources to ensure optimal performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Staffing Cycle Management: Ensure the entire process of the staffing cycle, from recruitment to onboarding, is executed efficiently and effectively.
- Tool Development and Evaluation: Develop, update, and evaluate the various tools required for the staffing cycle, including recruitment strategies and visibility initiatives.
- Recruitment and Visibility: Develop strategies and tools for recruitment and visibility as needed, and assess the impact of these initiatives.
- Partnerships and Collaborations: Participate in different visibility activities with various partners, including internal stakeholders and external organizations.
- Workforce Planning: Participate in the exercise of organizational workforce planning and define the resources needed for client groups.
- New Staff Integration: Participate in the process of integrating and welcoming new staff members.
- Statistics and Reporting: Compile statistics used as management indicators to inform HR decisions.
- Communication and Collaboration: Establish and maintain effective communications with various human resources departments, the organization, and MSSS.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in administration, human resources, industrial relations, or another relevant university discipline.
- Experience: Three (3) years of relevant experience in human resources or a related field.
- Knowledge and Abilities:
- MSSS Legislation and Regulations: Knowledge of MSSS legislation, regulations, the Ministry Network, and programs.
- First Nation Health/Social Service Models: Knowledge of First Nation health/social service models, trends, and issues is an asset.
- Cree Culture and Language: Knowledge of Cree culture, language, and social/health realities in Eeyou Istchee is an asset.
- Communication and Leadership: Excellent communication, leadership, and teamwork skills.
- Planning and Decision Making: Excellent planning and decision-making skills.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Language: Fluency in English and French; fluency in Cree is an asset.
- Travel: Willingness to travel on a regular basis.
