The Human Resources Specialist will leverage their knowledge to attract qualified candidates and provide support to both employees and management regarding policy application, employee relations, and conflict management. Additionally, this role will involve assisting the Executive Director in the execution of various HR projects, benefits administration, and HR information systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the complete recruitment cycle.
  • Facilitate the hiring of temporary personnel in collaboration with managers and staffing agencies.
  • Support the creation of performance enhancement strategies.
  • Revise existing policies to ensure alignment with current regulations.
  • Maintain employee records accurately.
  • Manage HRIS Dayforce (Ceridian) and perform necessary updates.
  • Process personnel transactions including hiring, promotions, transfers, and evaluations.
  • Administer benefits programs effectively.
  • Update and maintain the organizational structure.
  • Generate reports on performance metrics.
  • Supervise training and development initiatives.
  • Manage records related to short and long-term disability.
  • Collaborate with the corporate HR team on program updates and enhancements.
  • Design and implement new HR policies and programs.
  • Advise managers on performance and conduct management.
  • Implement health and safety programs in conjunction with stakeholders.
  • Draft and translate necessary documentation.
  • Assist with basic payroll processing and tax documentation.
  • Address employee inquiries regarding compensation, payroll, and leave.
  • Conduct exit interviews and provide feedback to management.
  • Execute HR initiatives including wellness programs and activities.
  • Perform additional related duties as required.
Qualifications:

Essential Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related discipline.
  • At least one year of relevant HR experience in a comparable position.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in both French and English.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with HRIS is advantageous.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Professionalism and discretion in handling sensitive information.
  • Capability to work independently while managing multiple tasks.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for effective interaction across various organizational levels.
