Store Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Store Manager to lead our team and drive sales growth in our specialty retail store in Kelowna.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and Team Development: Lead, motivate, and inspire the store team to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets. Provide coaching, mentoring, and regular feedback to foster professional growth and maintain a positive team environment.
  • Customer Service Excellence: Cultivate a customer-first culture by ensuring that all staff provide outstanding service. Handle escalated customer issues with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Operations Management: Oversee all store operations including opening/closing, inventory control, visual merchandising, and stock replenishment. Ensure compliance with company policies and local regulations.
  • Sales Performance and Growth: Analyze sales reports and customer feedback to identify opportunities for growth. Implement strategies to drive store traffic, increase basket size, and improve conversion rates.
  • Budget and Financial Oversight: Manage store expenses and contribute to the store's profitability. Collaborate with corporate teams to set and meet financial goals.
  • Product Knowledge and Merchandising: Stay up to date with our specialty products, ensuring that staff are knowledgeable and that displays align with brand standards.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Store Manager or Assistant Manager in a retail environment.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate a team.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet sales targets and manage operational budgets.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for providing excellent customer service and enhancing the customer journey.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
