About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Continuing Care Assistant to join our team at Shannex Incorporated. As a Continuing Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and mobilizing, according to their individual care plans.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement resident care plans.
  • Plan and implement resident leisure activities, promoting socialization and engagement.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.
Requirements:
  • Valid Continuing Care Certification or equivalent.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to provide a clear criminal record with vulnerable sector screening.
  • Previous experience working with elderly in long-term care or senior living environments is an asset.
  • Valid CPR and First Aid Certification is preferred.
