About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Support Worker to join our team at Barrie Special Care Home Ltd. in providing exceptional care and support to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Care: Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Medication Administration: Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
  • Companionship: Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, engaging in activities that promote social interaction and well-being.
  • Household Management: Assist with light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation.
  • Transportation: Accompany residents on outings and provide transportation to appointments.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, walking, and lifting.
