Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Home Support Worker to provide essential assistance to clients in their residences. This role is crucial in ensuring that individuals receive the personal care and support they need to maintain their quality of life.

Employment Details

QualificationsEducation
  • Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
Experience
  • 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
Work Environment
  • Non-smoking environment.
  • Work is performed in the employer's or client's home.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide bedside and personal care to clients.
  • Assist clients with bathing and personal hygiene tasks.
  • Support clients during meal times, including feeding assistance.
  • Handle laundry and care for household linens.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean environment.
  • Offer companionship and emotional support to clients.
Required Certifications
  • First Aid Certificate.
  • Health Care Aide Certificate.
Safety and Security
  • Criminal record check is mandatory.
  • References are required.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to engage in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Overtime may be required.
  • Role may be physically demanding, involving lifting up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
