Position Overview: Health Care Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual for the role of Health Care Assistant. This position involves providing essential support and care to clients in their homes.

Employment Details
  • Work Term: Temporary
  • Work Language: English
  • Hours: 40 hours per week
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
Work Environment

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide bedside and personal care to clients
  • Administer prescribed medications
  • Assist clients with bathing and personal hygiene needs
  • Support clients in maintaining regular exercise
  • Change non-sterile dressings as required
  • Assist with feeding or provide feeding support
  • Launder clothing and household linens
  • Mend clothing and linens as necessary
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning tasks
  • Plan and prepare therapeutic diets and menus
  • Offer companionship and emotional support
  • Provide personal care services
  • Shop for food and household supplies
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals
  • Cook meals as needed
