KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Primary Responsibilities:
~ The Forensic Behavior Analyst will operate within a recovery-oriented framework to deliver time-sensitive, inpatient support to individuals exhibiting challenging behaviors associated with their mental health conditions. Utilizing a bio-psychosocial model and incorporating the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), the Forensic Behavior Analyst will work collaboratively with various professionals within the program to create integrated assessments and care strategies grounded in evidence-based practices.

Core Functions:
The Forensic Behavior Analyst will actively participate as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team by:
Providing insights and education to behavior therapists, primary care teams, patients, and families regarding behavioral evaluations and intervention plans tailored to individual cases;
Demonstrating competence in delivering the services performed by the Behavioral Therapist;
Offering direct care in both individual and group settings through a blend of intensive teaching and natural environment training methods;
Keeping accurate records and scheduling follow-ups as necessary while ensuring patient confidentiality;
Providing technical oversight to behavior therapists as mandated by the regulatory body;
~ Being vigilant in recognizing and reporting safety concerns related to patients, staff, and the environment, and implementing preventive and corrective measures within the scope of this role.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Must possess a postgraduate degree, at least a Master's level;
Registered in good standing with the relevant regulatory body;
Active BCBA or BCBA-D Certification in good standing with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB);
Completion of a Vulnerable Sector Check;
Board Certified Behavior Analyst in good standing with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board is required.

KNOWLEDGE:
Extensive clinical experience, including a minimum of two years providing behavior analytic services to diverse populations (children, youth, adults, elderly) facing mental health and addiction challenges;
Proficiency in training others in ABA (Applied Behavioral Analysis);
Comprehensive understanding of behavioral programming, including data collection, tracking, graphing, and summarization;

Demonstrated expertise in mental health issues and pervasive developmental disorders acquired through experience with clients in clinical or community environments.


SKILLS:
Current CPR-HCP and first aid certification;
Ability to effectively provide constructive feedback to colleagues regarding programming;
Capacity to train staff to proficiency on various protocols and behavioral skills training;
Strong time management abilities and capability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously;
Adherence to organizational policies and procedures, including ethical standards as set forth by the regulatory body;
Ability to interpret and implement clinical protocols and written assessments of mental status skills required;
Experience in programming planning and development is preferred;
Familiarity with mental health legislation;
Competence in working with clients from diverse ethno-racial and cultural backgrounds is essential;
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
Strong organizational and analytical capabilities;
Proven commitment to personal development and fostering the growth of others;
Exceptional leadership qualities;
Ability to engage and empower patients and families in their care, supporting clients' optimal independence in the least restrictive environment;
Good attendance and work record required;

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:
~ Minimum of two years of direct clinical experience providing ABA-based services to adults with mental health, developmental, and/or neuro-cognitive needs.
