Job Title: Senior Staff Geoscientist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Staff Geoscientist to join our Unconventional Resource Assessment and Data Solution Division (URADSD) and Unconventional Resource Exploration and Characterization Department (URECD).

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the unconventional portfolio through technical, risk, resource, and commerciality assessments and strategic plans to support the de-risking of unconventional fields from exploration to development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the unconventional portfolio through technical, risk, resource, and commerciality assessments and strategic plans.
  • Develop and implement technical, risk, and resource assessments to support the de-risking of unconventional fields.
  • Collaborate with the Exploration & Characterization Divisions to support planning and execution of wells.
  • Effectively communicate through presentations and written reports to technical peers and management.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Geology, Geophysics, or related sciences.
  • 15 years of experience, with at least 5-10 years in unconventional plays, including shale or tight gas exploration, development, or strategic planning, across multiple unconventional hydrocarbon basins.
  • Experience in managing and de-risking a portfolio of tight sand or shale opportunities from exploration through development.
  • Strong understanding of the geological and engineering factors that determine success within different unconventional plays.
